Bespoke composite and uPVC doors, built to your measurements. External doors only, supplied and fitted together so one firm carries the whole job.
Composite Doors
A high-quality composite door: solid core, GRP skin, woodgrain finish. The strongest and warmest of the three, and the one most people put on the front.
Composite Doors →
uPVC Doors
Steel-reinforced uPVC front and back doors. Cheaper than composite and perfectly sensible on a back door.
uPVC Doors →
French & Patio Doors
French and sliding patio doors with A-rated glazing and multi-point locking, opening the back of the house up.
French & Patio Doors →
Aluminium Bi-Folds
Thermally broken aluminium bi-folds, made to the exact width of the opening, in two to six panels.
Aluminium Bi-Folds →Composite, uPVC or timber is the decision that moves the price most, and the honest answer is that it depends which door you are replacing. Here is how the three actually compare.
A solid core in a glass reinforced skin. Warmest, heaviest and hardest to force. Thirty years or more with no painting. Worth the money on a front door, harder to justify on a back one.
Steel reinforced and well sealed, just lighter. On a back door, a utility door or a rental it is the sensible spend and nobody will thank you for the extra.
A hardwood door on the right house is lovely. It also needs sanding and repainting every few years and will move with the weather. We do not fit them, and we will tell you that up front.
The opening size, the glass, and whether the frame comes out with the door. That is more of the figure than the badge on the leaf.
The quote is supply and fit, VAT included, with the old door taken away and the FENSA certificate included. Nothing is added on the day.
Family run door fitters, working across Kirkby, Knowsley and north Liverpool since 1999.
Countrywide UPVC (NW) Ltd has been run by Paul since he started it in 1999, from the same address on New Court Way in Ormskirk. Not a franchise, not a lead-generation site that sells your details on.
When people ask which company is best for doors round here, what they usually mean is who will still answer the phone in three years. Our fitters are on the payroll, the office has not moved in 25 years, and the person who quotes the job works with the person who fits it.
Live, verified Google reviews from customers across Kirkby and the surrounding area.
Two doors can look identical in a brochure and be four hundred pounds apart. The gap is almost never in the bit you can see, so this is where a cheap quote gets cheap.
Anti-snap cylinders as standard. A basic cylinder is the single cheapest downgrade an installer can make and the single most common way a door gets opened.
Steel-reinforced and packed properly into the opening. A good door in a foamed-and-trimmed frame is a good door hung on nothing.
Ours are employed door fitters, not subcontractors paid per job. Nobody is racing to a second installation that afternoon.
Your installation is registered with Knowsley Council building control and you get the certificate.
Bespoke composite doors in a wide range of styles and colours, with obscure, leaded or clear glass and matching furniture. Samples come out to you.
A new composite door goes in inside three to four hours. We take the old one and the packaging away.
We cover the whole of Kirkby, including Southdene, Northwood, Westvale, Tower Hill, Knowsley Village and Simonswood. We also fit windows and doors across Liverpool.
Recent composite and uPVC door installations across Knowsley, Liverpool and Merseyside.

The things people ask us before booking a survey.
There is no separate fitting charge. Every price we give is supply and fit together, VAT included, with the old door taken away and the FENSA certificate covered. The figure on the written quote is the figure you pay.
It moves with the size of the opening, the glass you choose and whether the frame is being replaced too. Rather than advertise a headline number we would then have to walk back, we measure up free and put a real figure in writing.
Dearer than uPVC, usually similar to or cheaper than a decent hardwood door once you count the painting a timber door needs. Composite is the middle option on price and the top one on lifespan.
Considerably more secure than an old timber or early uPVC door. The solid core resists impact, the multi-point locking spreads force into a reinforced frame, and the anti-snap cylinder removes the easiest way in.
Both together, always. We do not sell a door for someone else to hang. Fitting is where a door either seals and locks properly for twenty years or does not.
The survey is usually within a week. The door is made to measure so it takes a few weeks to build, then the installation itself is three to four hours.
Not a question we can answer without it sounding like a sales pitch. What we would say is: ask who employs their fitters, how long they have traded from the same address, and whether the quote is supply and fit with nothing added later.
