French & Patio Doors →Most of the searching people do before buying a door is really about deciding who to trust with it. Four questions worth asking any installer in Southport, including us.
Plenty of firms sell the door and subcontract the fitting to whoever is free that week. Ask who will actually turn up. Ours are on our own payroll.
Get the figure in writing and check what it includes. Ours covers the door, the fitting, taking the old one away and the FENSA certificate, VAT included.
A glazed door replacement is notifiable. A registered installer self-certifies it and you get the certificate. If they are not registered, that job falls to you.
Ask who you ring in two years. A one-man band and a national sales operation both struggle with that question. We have been at the same address since 1999.
We do not run countdown discounts or today-only pricing. The price we quote is the price you pay, and it is the same price next week.

You can walk into our premises. Countrywide UPVC (NW) Ltd has traded from 104 New Court Way in Ormskirk since Paul started the firm in 1999, and he still runs it. That matters more than it sounds: a lot of what gets sold as a local door service is a call centre and a van.
We are FENSA registered, CHAS accredited and Constructionline certified, and our fitters are employed rather than hired in for the week. If a hinge needs adjusting two winters from now, the person who answers the phone works for the same firm that fitted it. That is the whole reason we can offer a 10-year guarantee and mean it.
Live, verified Google reviews from customers across Southport and the surrounding area.
Security is where corners get cut quietly, because nobody sees a lock cylinder. Everything below is fitted as standard on every door we supply, and it is written on the quote so you can hold us to it.
Our doors are built to the PAS 24 British Standard, the enhanced security spec, rather than the cheaper builder-grade equivalent that looks identical on a brochure.
Multi-point locking with anti-snap cylinders as standard. The cylinder is the part opportunists attack, and it is the part most quotes leave vague.
Because we are FENSA registered, a glazed door replacement is self-certified and the certificate arrives with you. Unregistered fitters leave that job, and the cost, with you.
Your installation is registered with Sefton Council building control and you get the certificate.
Every door is made to order, so the colour, woodgrain finish, glass design, handle, hinge and letterplate are all yours to pick. We bring physical samples to the survey.
A single door is a three to four hour job. We take the old one away, and there is nothing left in your garden when we leave.
We cover the whole of Southport, including Birkdale, Ainsdale, Churchtown, Hillside, Marshside, Blowick, High Park and Crossens. We also fit windows and conservatories throughout the town.

The things people ask us before booking a survey.
Composite front and back doors, uPVC doors, aluminium bi-fold doors, and French and patio doors. Everything is made to measure for your opening, in a variety of styles, colours and glass designs. We do not fit timber doors.
Both, always together. We do not sell doors for someone else to fit, and we do not charge a separate fitting fee. One firm supplies the door, fits it and stands behind it.
Fair question to ask anyone. We have traded from the same address since 1999, we are FENSA registered, CHAS and Constructionline accredited, our fitters are employed rather than subcontracted, and our Google reviews are on this page rather than a screenshot of them.
Whether they employ their own fitters, whether the quote is supply and install with nothing added later, whether they are FENSA registered, and who you ring if something needs adjusting in two years.
No, and that is deliberate. We do not inflate a price so we can discount it, and there is no today-only deal. You get one written price and it is the same price next week.
Yes. You can build the door online and see it before you speak to anyone, and we bring physical colour and glass samples to the survey so you are choosing from the real thing rather than a screen.
There is a gallery of recent installations further up this page, and our installers can point you at finished work nearby during the survey if you would rather see one in person.
